Important Group Trip Cancellation Policy Overview

Attention all adventure seekers! I understand the unpredictable nature of life and travel and how sometimes plans have to change. Given that many group trip elements, like your cozy accommodations and thrilling excursions, come with non-refundable terms, the trip deposit will operate similarly. That’s why I’m laying out the details in advance โ€“ to help you mitigate any potential losses should you need to cancel your trip under unforeseen circumstances.

Why Travel Insurance is Required:

I require all travelers to have travel insurance..period. Itโ€™s an essential part of your travel toolkit, and I have personally experienced why you should always have some trip protection. Securing this insurance at the time of booking your flights is strongly advised. It safeguards you against unforeseen events such as flight disruptions, medical emergencies, or unexpected illness, offering peace of mind throughout your journey.

Cancellation for Personal Reasons:

I understand that personal situations, ranging from work commitments and financial changes to family emergencies and travel apprehensions, may lead to a cancellation decision. While travel insurance might not cover these scenarios, neither can I; however, I will try to be as accommodating as possible within the confines of this policy.

Cancellation Policy Timeline (Personal Reasons):

  • Beyond 8 Months: Your deposit is transferable to a future trip, with any additional payments fully refunded.
  • Up to 6 Months: You can transfer half of your deposit to a future getaway, and I’ll refund any extra payments provided I can fill your spot.
  • 3 Months Prior: A quarter of your deposit can be reallocated to another trip. I’ll refund additional payments if another traveler takes your spot. Should your spot remain unfilled, the deposit and any applicable fees from tour operators will be non-refundable and non-transferable.
  • Less Than 3 Months: The deposit becomes non-refundable or transferable. I will refund any extra payments if another traveler fills your spot. Otherwise, specific deductions will be made, and I’ll refund the remaining amount.
  • Within 1 Month: The entire amount becomes non-refundable. Period

Health Emergencies:

In the instances of health emergencies, I’ll review cancellations on a case-by-case basis, considering factors such as the timing of the cancellation and whether your travel insurance offers coverage for the situation.

I genuinely hope you never have to cancel. Still, if you do, I am committed to doing my best to handle your situation with care and understanding and to minimize any financial impact while adhering to my policy guidelines.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation, ensuring smooth sailing for all our adventurous endeavors!
